Back to the future

Today saw me heading to the lovely hamlet that is Catford....
A very short (5 road) run, and then it was off to Brockley again. A quick text to Mark confirmed I was indeed a couple of roads from Ex casa TulStig. So I dutifully grabbed a photo of number 124 Foxberry Road:

After taking the above photo I redid the run ( Lee Bridge to Pepys Rd) to cement it in my head. It was at the end of this run I had a mad moment. As I was making a u-turn, my hand slipped on the accelerator and I came THIS close to hitting a double parked school bus. Only the look on the drivers face and my long John's will tell the real tale!! Note to self: alway throttle back when in those situations!! So those 3 put me nicely on track for my 50 on Thursday. I'm pleased with that I must say.

At this juncture I must add a massive thank you to Mark for supporting me during my various wobbles. I'm sure there are more to come, but. Thanks mate!

Today music is a song that's been spinning round my head for a while now Fonda Rae One from the eighties. Get the shoulder pads out and roll up those sleeves!

  1. You're more than welcome matey- what are friends for?!
Ahhh -Brockley - how I long for those days of chilly damp weather winter (and spring and Autumn)- not at all. Form the photo it does look a trifle inclement. Not a beautiful house is it -still nor is this one- but like people it's what's inside that matters. I can't imagine you'll get many runs out there though when you do qualify

  2. It was inclement. Damp and cold! Nice. Maybe it'll look better in the summer!
